About FSSAI Registration Goals
The aim is to compile and harmonize various acts and laws related to food handling enforced by different Ministries and Departments, creating a comprehensive, scientifically-based standard for the production, handling, distribution, importation, and sale of food. This unified standard is designed to ensure that all food products are safe and suitable for human consumption or other related uses. By integrating these regulations, it promotes transparency, consistency, and accountability throughout the entire food supply chain. This approach not only safeguards public health but also aligns with global food safety standards, enhancing consumer confidence and facilitating smoother trade practices.
